- How quickly does cover start?
- You choose the start time when you get your quote. Cover can start within fifteen minutes of paying, or at any point up to thirty days ahead.
- Is it comprehensive?
- Yes. Every policy is comprehensive, covering damage to the vehicle you are driving as well as third-party liability, fire and theft.
- Will it affect the owner's no-claims bonus?
- No. Your temporary policy stands entirely on its own. A claim on it is handled under your policy, not the owner's annual insurance.
- Who can be covered?
- Drivers aged 18 to 78 holding a full UK, EU or EEA licence, or a UK provisional licence for supervised car practice. Vehicles must be worth under £50,000.
- Can I drive abroad?
- Standard cover applies in Great Britain, Northern Ireland, the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man. Add the European extension at the quote stage for trips of a day or more.
- What documents will I get?
- A certificate and schedule of insurance as a PDF, shown on screen as soon as payment clears and sent to your email address.
- Does the policy renew?
- Never. It ends at the time shown on your certificate. If you need longer, buy another policy whenever you like.
